WaterPower is an international and interdisciplinary junior research group with six PhD candidates from different backgrounds and a junior professorship. It aims to contribute to critical global change research. The project seeks to develop knowledge that responds effectively to the risks and opportunities of global environmental change and to support transformations towards global sustainability in Accra. It will explore the intersections and dynamics of urbanisation, resource governance and climate change by drawing on the example of urban water security in Accra. It will be ensured that knowledge generated is relevant and serves the needs of key stakeholders.
