Maria Kondra
Maria Kondra is a PhD researcher in the WaterPower project at the Geography Institute at the University Trier, Germany. Within the project she focuses on political ecology of urban wetlands in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area. The main focus lies on analyzing the effects of urban agriculture and water pollution on the wetlands. In her Master's thesis, Maria developed a list of socio-ecological indicators for the coastal region of Bangladesh in cooperation with United Nations University (UNU) in Bonn, Germany.

Maria holds a post-gradute degree in applied environmental sciences from Stockholm University, Sweden. Prior to this, she worked as a consultant for the United Nations University (UNU) in the KAZUZ project and was a visiting researcher in the DELTAS project. During her fieldwork in Bangladesh in 2014 she was a visiting researcher at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) in Dhaka. In 2009 Maria graduated with a bachelors degree in Geosciences from Potsdam University, Germany
