WP 5 - Water Futures and Trajectories for Transformative Solutions

led by Antje Bruns & Ravi Baghel, working with the entire team
Picture

Research Description

The aim of WP 5 is to examine the scale and complexity of the water challenge and the shared risks by integrating the findings of the previous work packages. This is an important contribution to understanding how societal change (urbanisaion and growing water demand) is related to global environmental change. Water (in)security serves as an example to heuristically link nature with culture and the local scale with the global scale.

We will also develop scenarios to explore transformative governance options together with interested parties in Ghana. Ideally, we will set up science-policy forums that bring together researchers and stakeholder in Accra to discuss results and develop ideas to implement transformative governance solutions.
